
Moffitt Gets His First ASALMS Pole – Sets New Track Record at Dixie
Grimes, Iowa (August 16, 2008) – Brett Moffitt scored his first ASA Late Model North Series “Pole Award” last Friday night at the Dixie Motor Speedway in Birch Run, Michigan. While setting the pole for the Mid-Michigan Dixie 100, Moffitt also set a new track record by circling the speedway with a time of 15.403 seconds. While this is Moffitt’s first ASALMS pole, he did set quick time, set a new track record, and won the feature event earlier in the season at I-70 Speedway, where Late Models compete weekly under ASALMS rules. Moffitt also had a pole in his first ever asphalt appearance last February at New Smyrna, Florida. Moffitt, a resident of Grimes, Iowa, is currently the leading candidate for the “Rookie of the Year” honors in the ASA Late Model North Series, and is third in its overall points standings. READ MORE

Grimes, Iowa (August 11, 2008) – Brett Moffitt, the rookie Late Model driver from Grimes, IA, put together another top ten run, finishing ninth, during the ASA Late Model Challenge Series – Thompson Metals 200, hosted by the Bristol Motor Speedway. Brett Moffitt Competes for the Last Time as a Fifteen Year Old Rookie
Grimes, Iowa (August 7, 2008) – Brett Moffitt, the fifteen year old asphalt rookie from Grimes, Iowa, competed last Tuesday night with the stars of the ASA Midwest Tour during the SCAG Power Equipment Dixieland 150 held at the Wisconsin International Raceway. It was Moffitt’s second occasion in just the past few weeks to compete against super late model drivers like Chris Wimmer, Steve Carlson, and NASCAR Sprint Cup points leader, Kyle Busch. However it will be the last time Moffitt will compete as a fifteen year old, as on Thursday, the talented first year asphalt driver will, in his words, “finally turn sixteen”. READ MORE
